Terms of Use

This document describes how TailorBack works today. It is a plain-English summary intended for transparency, not formal legal advice. Items in [brackets] should be completed by the operator before public launch.

Welcome to TailorBack ("TailorBack", "we", "us"). These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the TailorBack website and service (the "Service"), operated by Amith AshokReddy Rajolkar, a private individual based in Germany (not a company). Full operator and contact details are in our Impressum. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. What TailorBack does

TailorBack takes a job description and your existing CV/résumé and uses third-party AI models to produce an ATS-friendly résumé and a matching cover letter, plus a match score and an honest list of gaps. The Service reframes your real experience; it is designed not to invent employers, titles, dates, credentials, metrics, or skills you do not have. Any requirement your CV does not evidence is reported as a gap rather than fabricated.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.
You may sign in with Google or with an email address and password. When you register you agree to provide your real legal name, a valid email address, and any other requested details, and to keep them accurate and current.
Accounts are for a single person. Do not share your login, and do not let others generate documents or spend credits under your account.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
Email-and-password accounts must verify their email address before generating documents.

3. Generations & credits

Each new account receives 2 free generations. One generation produces one tailored résumé, one cover letter, one match score, and one gap list.
Additional generations require credits, sold as one-time packs: Starter (10 credits, €7), Job Hunt (40 credits, €19), Career Sprint (150 credits, €49).
Credits are consumed only when a generation succeeds. Editing, re-styling, downloading, or regenerating individual sections of a document you have already generated does not consume additional credits.
Credits are tied to your account, have no cash value, and are not transferable.

4. Payments, taxes & refunds

One-time purchases. Credit packs are one-time payments. TailorBack does not run subscriptions and does not automatically renew or recharge you, you only pay when you choose to buy a pack.
Processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card details. The charge may appear on your statement under [billing descriptor].
Prices & taxes. Prices are shown at checkout and may change over time. Stated prices may exclude taxes, VAT, or other levies; you are responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.
Try before you buy. Every account gets free generations so you can evaluate the Service before purchasing credits.
Refunds. Because credits unlock a digital service that can be used immediately, all sales are final except where a refund is required by applicable law (including mandatory consumer-protection rights) or granted at our discretion. Refund requests can be sent to finance@tailorback.com.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the CV text, job descriptions, and other material you submit ("Your Content"), and of the documents the Service generates for you.
You grant TailorBack a limited licence to process Your Content solely to operate the Service, including transmitting it to the AI providers described in our Privacy Policy to generate your documents.
You confirm you have the right to submit Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights or contain unlawful material.
TailorBack retains a record of your generations (including the CV and job text you submit and the documents produced) for its legitimate business purposes, for as long as necessary, as described in our Privacy Policy. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time via our contact form, and we will action such requests as set out in the Privacy Policy.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

submit content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or that misrepresents another person's identity or qualifications;
use the Service to create deliberately false or deceptive résumés;
attempt to access other users' accounts, documents, or data;
scrape, overload, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Service, or bypass usage limits, credit checks, or security controls;
resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written consent.

7. AI output & accuracy

The Service relies on automated language models. Output can contain errors, omissions, or awkward phrasing, and may need editing. You are responsible for reviewing every generated document for accuracy and truthfulness before you use or submit it. TailorBack does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or that any résumé will pass a particular applicant-tracking system. The match score is an automated estimate, not a hiring decision.

8. Document availability

Generated files are private to your signed-in account and are automatically deleted after 7 days. You can also delete them earlier from your account. Download and keep your own copies; we are not a storage service and do not guarantee retention beyond this period.

9. Service availability & disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, title, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that it will meet your specific requirements. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features, providers, or the Service at any time. AI providers may be unavailable; in that case generation may fail and you can try again. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TailorBack and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost opportunities, or lost profits arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable consumer law.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and request deletion of your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Unused credits are forfeited on termination for cause.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, by notice in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised Terms.
